Vice President, Global Sourcing

Data Systems International, Inc. (DSI) is seeking a Vice President of Global Sourcing. This position is based in Overland Park, Kansas.

Position Description

 

As DSI continues to look for ways to increase productivity and profitability in order to serve customers better,strategic sourcing will become a critical component to future successes. This leadership position reporting to the President will support the Company’s key strategic sourcing objectives primarily within the Software Development, Quality Assurance and Global Client Services business units. The position will interface with business unit leaders to understand specifications and requirements for various needs.

 

Responsibilities

 

The incumbent would be expected to work either independently or with minimum direction to:

 

·         Develop global sourcing strategy and identify opportunities for savings.

·         Provide recommendations for change in requirements where appropriate.

·         Lead vendor negotiations and ensure execution of developed strategy.

·         Quantify savings achieved.

·         Prepare organization and team for implementation of sourced programs.

·         Effectively integrate with key functional groups and develop good relationships with key stakeholders.

·         Research and prioritize sourcing opportunities based on potential savings and/or urgency of business need.

·         Manage multiple complex and high-visibility projects at the same time.

·         Establish project work plans; including objectives, milestones and key tasks.

·         Implement a vendor management certification process, development program and continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Communicate strategic sourcing results to Senior Management.

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

 

·         Undergraduate degree .

·         15+ years experience in progressive roles which include at least 10+ years in strategic sourcing related to software development and software implementations; including outsourcing vendor selection, vendor negotiations, contract preparation, review and analysis.

·         Work experience related to software development, quality assurance & implementation.

·         Superb problem solving and analytic skills.

·         Excellent communication and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to clearly and persuasively communicate ideas, issues and recommendations.

·         Proven collaborating and influencing skills with ability to remotely supervise and manage teams.

·         Strong hands-on project management skills demonstrated by experience in a consulting or business environment.

·         Self driven and flexible.

·         Able to act as a thought leader and mentor.

·         High energy and willingness to accommodate and work in disparate time zones.

·         Proven project management, time management, conflict management, and presentation skills.

·         Ability to lead cross-functional and cross-business unit teams.

·         Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

·         Able to travel 25%+.

·         Ability to travel internationally.
