DSI's dcLINK® is totally customizable to an organization's unique business processes. It will capture and update data collected in the field, directly into financial, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and other information systems. Information from these systems are also available for inquiry by the frontline employee.
Using its powerful built-in scripting language, dcLINK allows sophisticated wireless applications to be built, using a standalone database, without the need for any pre-existing business systems logic. Integrating with existing business information systems
dcLINK connects to any OLE compliant database, hence it will connect to most of today's modern and legacy business information systems without the need to modify the current system.
Hybrid solutions
Since dcLINK has the ability to complete transactions in enterprise software or business information systems, or directly into a database, it is possible to create transactions that update or inquire on any combination of these. dcLINK can augment an existing enterprise software transaction by capturing fields that do not currently exist in the enterprise software. Control and Inventory system. In a paper-based environment transactions will first be processed by a production clerk and will then pass on to an inventory clerk. Using dcLINK, this process can be completely re-engineered. The production operator uses a wireless data collection terminal to scan a barcode, which represents the production run number. This scan completes the production run and records the product run number with 100% accuracy. Then in real -time, dcLINK automatically and simultaneously updates both the production system and the inventory system freeing the clerks for more important duties and providing accurate real -time data to the whole enterprise.
